Please i want a dream Toyota Highlander 04/05 as my second car with a family of 4 but my wife said she wants a Murano SUV 04/05. Many of my friends before now had told me i should forget Murano as a choice base of the execuses that it's not a strong and tough car for family even when none of them have driven Murano before. My question is, please let me know what you think about buyin Murano interms of usage, mechanical use and track record especially from people who have driven such and know about it very well? Funy enough my Mechanic also said Murano is good.

I owned a Murano.

1. Once mileage reaches 70k, expect gearbox problems. If it has been serviced before, then its condemned. If it hasn't been serviced, you can service with original oil which i bought 10k per gallon, the galons are small so you're required to buy minimum of 8. 

2. Prepare to fix the bushing / lower arms / stabilizer linkage every 2 weeks 

3. When you enter potholes regularly, the whole interior starts to loosen up and gets very irritating

4. Buy it BRAND NEW to enjoy it.

Make monthly estimations, if you can afford it  Cool then, i'll choose the FX instead.
