I'm a dark skin guy
This is almost 16months now i've been having skin itching after shower,
I'm just seeking for help!
-I'd take long shower.
-Mostly, i use cold water for extended periods and after showering i'd use's towel to dry every water droplet from my skin.
-i use's soaps like Joy, Eva, sometyms hawaii etc
-i've been using NIVEA cream (brown) for yrs, is thier anything like anti-itching cream?
-No rashes
Note; it can only last for 8mins, highest 11mins after showering.(sometyms i feel lyk peeling my skin)
please is there anything am nt doing that i'll suppore to do?
i don't trust medicine anymore!

Your skin lacks moisture and the itching you suffer from could be caused by the water you use to bathe, the sponge or even your soap. When the essential oils are stripped off your skin, moisture gets off and you start to itch.

Try getting a moisturiser and check for hard water. If it's hard water, try getting a softener for your hard water or water filtration.

I use to have that years back whenever I use sponge. I stop using sponge for a very long time. Have you change your water source before?

My mom, elder sis and myself, we're all going through this same thing.

I stop using sponge altogether. Though I recently started using sponge but not on regular bases, like one or twice a week.

Mine started around 2008,it could be very annoying,i most often get scared whenever it's time for shower,some doctors adviced putting baby oil in your bathing water could do some magic

Wash your towel and sponge with hot water weekly (4days if possible) and ensure you sun dry them after use. If it persist, then change your towel, there is high tolerance for fungal growth on the towel.

Stop using sponge for now.

Get a face towel as replacement for your sponge

Start bathing with warm or slightly hot water - it helps

Doctors will prescribe loratadine or something of such, this is temporary, they don't have a permanent solution.

Stop scrubbing your skin like you fell into a gutter, gently scrub but ensure it's clean.

Drink lots of water.

Switch to natural soap(ose dudu white)not mixed with anything, don't buy the ones they have mixed with anything like dudu OSU, use the raw one.

Lastly, search this forum, we have treated this topic in the past.

Change Ur towels...get brand new ones(not second hand)... check for the floffy ones too..
