Position Summary
We are looking for a young and vibrant Network Support Engineers that will be is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of our organization’s core datacenter network; taking responsibility for the design/architecture, definition and enforcement of standards; security, sustainability, and deployment, and operations of its current and future networks. He is also responsible for building automatic adjustment procedures, designing ways to guarantee the network is responsive to user demand despite the dynamic nature of the cloud network model.
Our network support engineers support the cloud operations of our clients to enhance, optimize, and maintain their computing capabilities across their technical landscape. They are also responsible for the review of solution and requirements from clients/sales team to create a design, implementation, and migration plan. They are responsible for executing and documenting network disaster recovery services and actively partaking in client testing.

Skills and experience required to be a Network Support Engineer:
• Data centre management and Database administration
• Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructures.
• Good project management skills
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, spin-up and maintenance (VMware, KVM, Xen, Hyper-V)
• Advanced understanding of network monitoring concepts and management tools.
• Experience of network monitoring tools and protocols (MRTG, RRD, NAGIOS, SNMP)
• Experience of analysing system and network performance using monitoring and graphical data.
• Experience of diagnosing network and service issues, following them through to resolution.
• Good technical or WIKI documentation skills.
• Capable of multi-tasking, good time management and prioritisation of workload.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field.
• Certification: Information technology infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification or experience with ITIL, Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification, or other advanced networking certification
• Broad experience in the areas of Microsoft servers, network management and monitoring
Responsibilities of a Network Support Engineer:
• Maintain enterprise network security design standards
• Ensures adherence to defined Network Engineering Processes/Procedures
• Engage and influence within the Cloud network security and broader engineering groups to champion best practices and collaborative work streams
• Coordinate with Tier 3 support to establish and manage clear escalation guidelines for supported system components

• Engineer security solutions and standards based on requirements, best practices, and technical knowledge
• Perform scopes of work as detailed in implementation plans assigned, such as, system builds, test plans, documentation, and training
• Implement and deploy data and network security projects, migrations, ongoing maintenance activities, and network engineering support
• Configure firewall rules, IPS, routing, and VPNs
• Execute service requests and document changes (such as new environment builds, major changes, version upgrades)
• Perform a wide range of system administration duties on core infrastructure, application, database, and other servers, including engineering, installation, break/fix troubleshooting, data protection and optimization
• Networking and virtualized networking
• Lead or assist in the data protection, disaster recovery and business continuance planning of a large, globally-distributed virtualization and storage infrastructure
• Regularly interface with, advise and collaborate with business stakeholders (e.g., product managers, business process owners, engineers and consultants)
• Serve as on-call infrastructure resource to troubleshoot operational issues (e.g., unavailability of IT systems)
• Configures, manages and maintains network-to-network VPNs
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting new or existing systems, including operating systems, storage devices, server applications, network applications, etc.
• Performing routine server maintenance tasks, such as monitoring performance, checking logs, updating software, installing patches, etc.
• Determining the cause of a problem and suggesting solutions based on experience with similar issues.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting of communication networks like LAN and VoIP
• Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
• Providing technical support by creating documentation and training materials for new cloud system users
