Former Governor of Lagos State and the Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinibu has promised robust agricultural policies, including the introduction of the Commodity Exchange Commission (CEC) if elected President.

Tinubu who is visiting Niger State for the third time ahead of the 2023 general elections has appointed the Governor of Kebbi State who is also the Chairman of Progressive Governor’s Forum (PGF), Senator Abubakar Bagudu as the Chairman of the Agriculture sub-committee.

He told hundreds of supporters who thronged the Idris Legbo Kutigi conference centre, Minna, the state capital to welcome him that he is able and capable of making Nigeria better than it is today against the backdrop of speculations of being not in good health conditions.

Addressing the northern Agro-commodity group stakeholders, Senator Tinubu further hinted that the CEC which will be established immediately after he assumes office will boost the agricultural value chain of Nigeria not only for local food sufficiency but for export purposes.

“Once I emerge, President, next year, I will immediately set up commodity exchange commission to carter for our teaming farmers”, Tinubu said, adding that for Nigerian agricultural products to compete with others in the international market, the product must have a quality that meets international standards.

The APC Presidential candidate who assured Nigerians of renewed hope and prospects for better days ahead for citizenry said he will be on the side of the Nigerian masses in keeping to his electioneering campaign promises.

Which light?

What peers?

Do you think everyone is ignorant and always dazed by meaningless rhetoric?

Have you heard of Abuja Securities and Commodities Exchange before?

This is how you people woke from deep sleep one morning and said he built Lagos.

You are already in the process of making illusory claims.

The way SW urchins make sweeping claims is so annoying. Travel una no dey gree.

Sir, forget about your made in Ogbomosho statistics, a typical northern farmer is far richer than a typical civil servant in your Yoruba land.

A typical farmer in the North can stock food his family will eat in a year while your civil servants can never do that, even in a thousand years.

Unemployment rate in the North West is 10 percent while the region is has far better illiteracy rate than Yoruba land.

A typical Northern from the NW is far more informed that you Yorubas. So I don't know where you people get your lies.

No Yoruba capital city is more developed than Kano, Katsina city and Kaduna city.

Even though most Northern villages are built with mud bricks, no Yoruba village is more planned than theirs.

It's easier to become a millionaire in the North and than in Yoruba land, thats why you will see more Igbos and SS in the North than in Yoruba land. (By Yoruba land I mean SW minus Lagos)

Imagine this f00l saying Northern farmers don have android phone, when used phone is far more cheaper than in SW.

Oga, go to Northern cities and you'll be surprised at the level of northern sophistication.

Even in commerce, Northerners are light years ahead of Yorubas. Remove government work, most Yorubas educated population will die of hunger.

Oga stop saying what you don't know. The food grown in the north is sold mostly in southwest. Point 2 , a large number of villages in the north don't even have ordinary 2g talk less of 3g Access network technology . It does not make much economic sense to sight GSM antennas to such places due to the large number of repeater stations running on expensive diesel generators as well as logistics cost of maintenance, the high cost of dollar if you use VSAT solution and the extremly poor revenue projections from expected sites is enough reason.probably if we had NITEL we may have had network in all norther villages as political justification will overide economic viability.. Point 3,Though they engage in large scale farming ,they do not gain from it due to greed of middle men. The middle men insist on buy from farmers at very low prices in season then hoard and resell to the market at very huge margin.. The commodity board soution proposed by Tinubu will enhance their income several times over while at the same time given them an opportunity to earn foreign exchange from exports of their proceeds. The northern farmers are actually very poor because they are cheated by middle men. Finally I have been to several villages in the north and I can tell you all I have said from experience. If you like believe if you like dont

Don't deceive yourself. Most NW farmers are millionaires, but their simple life won't make you know.

skj1377:

Insist?

Where do you get all these lies?

skj1377:

The commodity board soution proposed by Tinubu will enhance their income several times over while at the same time given them an opportunity to earn foreign exchange from exports of their proceeds.
Story

There's difference between commodity board and commodity exchange. We already have a commodity exchange since 1996.

Common board will destroy the economy and make farmers poor. Go find out what happened in Zimbabwe before Mugabe came in.

skj1377:

The northern farmers are actually very poor because they are cheated by middle men. Finally I have been to several villages in the north and I can tell you all I have said from experience. If you like believe if you like dont

Northern farmers are not poor. A typical farmer in the North is far richer than average state civil servant in your SW.

Only Northern farmers can stock food their families can eat in a whole year. Do you call such people poor?

Name the places you have been in North West

Brilliant idea. Then again, this is what we expect from Tinubu. The brightest ideas to uplift every corner of our nation so that more Nigerians can be dignified, happy and fulfilled wherever they live.

Northerners , the most historically misruled and neglected people in Nigeria, will thank God for Tinubu if only they have the wisdom to vote for him and shun ethnic sentiments.

Nigerians should vote wisely never fck with the Dubai dweller who only shows up to demand the Nigerian presidency whereas he is always missing when Nigeria is distressed.

Don't indulge cowardly Obi either. Someone the disgraced and failed politician Dino Melaye is dragging into the mud easily and rendering flustered is not fit to be President.

Popular rumour had it that COAS Danbazau and NSA Gusau never used to answer GEJ's calls because they could not respect him as their President. It will be far worse with Obi who is the most unpresidential politician ever to contest to be President.

Tinubu is the only fitting candidate that ticks all boxes 1000%.

That garbage is moribund, inefficient and worthless. It will be binned under Tinubu for an exchange commission that will work brilliantly and productively to the glory of Nigeria.
