1. Accountant
Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

Raise accounting journals
Post transaction / ensure accuracy of data posting
Reconcile account payables / receivables
Book accruals and provisions
Book fixed assets in terms of acquisitions, disposals and ensure the records are in agreement with ledger accounts
Carry out statutory deductions on payments due to suppliers and ensure remittances
Handle rubber sales accounts and prepare monthly reconciliation of accounts
Follow up on a monthly basis balance in SAP Module
Reconcile salaries and staff loans in ledger accounts with Human Resource payroll records
Supervise job done by the accounting officers.
Requirements

B.Sc / HND in Accounting with minimum of a second class lower
A minimum of 3 years post NYSC working experience in a similar position
ICAN qualification will be an added advantage
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
A good ICT skill and ability to use Accounting Software like SAP ERP
Excellent team player.

2. Stabilization Center Nurse

Location: Pulka – Gwoza LGA, Borno

Responsibilities and Tasks
Consultation and Patients Care:

Welcome patients to the facility cordially and systematically to facilitate their adjustment and ensure quick recovery.
Apply the procedures of triage and perform admissions for the new cases as per the protocol
Ensure quality and timely identification and treatment of medical complications associated with malnutrition in liaison with the Physicians
Following and adhering to current protocols on drug administration; give and advice on the drug regimen for the patients
Providing appropriate nutrition counselling and health education to the mothers and caretakers in the SC based on the protocols and guidelines.
Ensure adequate availability of all drugs and nutrition supply and ensuring stock is pre-positioned as planned.
Completing and updating patient file to ensure a track of patient progress.
Compiling statistical data (admission, default, cured, absent death) and drafting a report on activities
Supervise and coordinate the strict patient management in the Stabilization center and ensure the laid protocols are followed
Participate in daily SC ward rounds with the Physicians and fill the patient cards after the round, medications and other patient examinations or procedures
Strictly monitor and record the vital signs regularly as in the protocol and report any deviation from the normal
Ensure that all required observations, prescribed treatment, and procedures are properly carried out and documented on patient’s charts
Refer to the doctor in charge or to the doctor on call relevant information such as patient’s status and laboratory results, which would assist in proper clinical management
Monitor therapeutic Feeds and ensure that children get 3 hourly therapeutic feeds as required
Carry out regular procedure like taking blood samples, providing IV medications and other necessary procedures as per the physician’s prescriptions
Facilitate a timely referral of complicated SAM cases from the OTPs to the SC and vice versa and accompany patient when necessary.
Provide all other necessary nursing care and procedures for the patients.
Assist patients with activities of daily living while in the ward.
Team Management and Internal Coordination:

Provide regular mentoring and on-the-job training for the SC Nutrition Feeding Assistants
Ensure caretakers of SC patients receive appropriate nutrition education and referred and linked to community IYCF team
Participate actively in meetings when required.
Work Environment:

Maintain equipment’s in good condition and submit regular inventory report
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with universal standards, procedures, rules, and regulations
Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Reporting:

Maintain registration and track the consumption of medicines, therapeutic foods and other consumables and share the report with the SC ward head physician
Responsible for the collection, compilation and analysis of quality data and production of the required reports for the SC activities in charge.
Ensure that all admissions, discharges, transfers, and deaths are properly recorded as they occur
Report any difficulties or delays in the implementation of activities.

Ensure that SC beneficiaries, caretakers and members of the community are always treated respectfully
Maintain patient confidentiality at all time
Respect the rights of the patients and caretakers/attendants under his/her care

3. Midwife

Location: Pulka, Borno
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities and Tasks
Patient Care:

Prepare all the materials and ensure that everything is ready before starting the activities
Perform antenatal consultations including screening tests according to the protocols, detect and mention all the risk factors.
Provide the Clinical Care for Sexual Assault Survivors (CCSAS) according to national protocols and guidelines
Ensure all pregnant women and newborns are referred to the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI)
Set up maternity departments in new health centers/hospitals
Supervise the distribution of drugs, keep track of consumption patterns, supply orders and monitor inventories
Supervise administrative procedures and documents, analyzing routine data for monitoring purposes
Conduct delivery according to the protocols, precautions, hygiene standards
Perform postnatal consultations during the 6 weeks following the delivery, give appropriate treatment and refers to secondary care when needed
Perform family planning consultations and counseling according to protocol
Give systematic prophylactic treatments to pregnant women
Verify the tetanus vaccination of each pregnant woman
Manage SRH emergency cases with the assistance of the Health Supervisor according to PUI protocols and regulation
Identify Sexually Gender-Based Violence victims and collaborate with the medical team for treatment
Clearly explain the diagnosis and treatment to the patient and make sure that the patients comply with the treatment
Request for a 2nd evaluation of the patient when needed
Provide individual health promotion during consultations
Give health education sessions to the patients in the waiting areas
Execute any action requested by the DPM, Health Supervisor as part of the outbreak response plan
Actively participate in the good cohesion and coordination of the team.
Record on a readable manner the health status and medical prescription.
Participate in the follow-up of waste management according to the waste management procedures
Participate in any other activities such as vaccination, survey etc. according to the needs and as directed
Maintain the working environment in a clean and presentable state.
Management of an Efficient Referral System:

Manage the emergency and electives referral cases according to the referral protocol by facilitating the logistics including transportation means, appointment with specialists, laboratory tests etc. in collaboration with Health supervisor
Follow up the referred cases, and check the outcome.
Ensuring appropriate follow-up care has been given and taking appropriate action if further care is needed
Identify and refer patients who need mental health consultation.
Medical Data Collection and Reporting:

Record accurately and in a readable manner, the clinical case management on the patient health card (history taking, physical examination, treatment, investigation, etc.), and patient registration book
Ensure an accurate daily use and tracking of epidemiological data
Participate in the daily tracking of consumption of the drugs and materials used from the medical box
Collect general information about the people living conditions
Participate in the weekly medical statistic report in collaboration with SRH Supervisor and the deputy program manager
Ensure a clear verbal and written hand over at every end of the shift, with emphasis on specific events
Report to the supervisor any problem especially the gap/loss/robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines or any patient and organizational issue.
Inform the direct supervisor of the various needs.
Internal and External Representation:

Participate actively in meetings when required
Participate in any training in order to improve the quality and efficiency of nursing cares and duties.

Provide frequent feedback on health – illness patterns observed in the outreach site that require further assessment
Report to line manager periodically regarding context changes that affect the modality of intervention.
