Following his bombshell tell-all interview with the Manchester United star, Piers Morgan stated that Arsenal needs to recruit Cristiano Ronaldo because he is “exactly” what they need. In a shocking interview with the Manchester United player, the TV host revealed that Ronaldo felt “betrayed” by the team and that he doesn’t ‘respect’ manager Erik ten Hag. He also criticized Wayne Rooney, a former teammate, for his unceasing criticism. Morgan, a personal friend of the Portuguese, has advised the league-leading Arsenal to take advantage of the 37-year-old forward’s current situation at Manchester United and recruit him in January to help their title chances. After a TV host in Ireland tweeted, “Presumably Piers Morgan is hoping Arsenal sign Ronaldo and play him,” Morgan responded on Twitter. He posted: ‘Yes, actually. He’s exactly what we need.. @Cristiano & @gabrieljesus9 would take us to the title.’ The tweet, posted at 11pm on Sunday night, has already received 15,000 likes.
