Texts: Revelations 12:7-11; John 6:53-58

"And they overcame by the Blood of Lamb, and by the word of our testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."

In the world today, where many live in bondage, defeat, sickness, failure and despondency, one of the powerful weapons of God to save His own is the Blood of Jesus.

The benefits of the blood that Jesus shed for us on the Calvary are inestimable and far-reaching. The benefits are:

- The Blood of Jesus earned us forgiveness from sin and its consequences, ransomed and saved us as well as justified us (Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 9:28).
- The Blood of Jesus heals us (1 Peter 2:24).
- The Blood of Jesus makes us overcome the devil. The blood of the Lamb was the instrument by which the army of heaven led by archangel Michael defeated satan and his rebellious angels. They could not prevail against the blood of Jesus and the word of testimony; they were cast of heaven in defeat and shame! As believers, the blood of Jesus Christ is available for us to use against the onslaughts of the enemy. We are more than conquerors!
- The Blood of Jesus redeems us from the curse of sickness, poverty, and untimely death (the curse of law) Galatians 3:13. When Adam and Eve sinned, curses were inherited through them. However, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die and she'd His Blood for our redemption from the curse of the law and its various manifestation or consequences. So, when we give our lives to Christ, we are washed by His Blood and we are no longer manifesting under the curse of law.
- The Blood of Jesus buys us back from the devil. We had been sold to the devil through Adam and Eve's sins but the Blood of Jesus Christ atoned for us and bought us back from the devil. To get us back from the devil, Jesus Christ paid with His Life and Blood, once and for all!
- By the virtue of the Blood of Jesus Christ, we have been declared righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21)
- This same Blood of Jesus has moved us from the enemy's kingdom (darkness) into the Kingdom of God(Light), and we have gained unmerited favour of God (Colossians 1:12-13).

However, you must, please, give your life to Christ to enjoy the maximum blessings attached to the Blood of Jesus Christ!

All the "blessings" that come with the blood of Jesus come as a result of His shedding it on the cross in order to ratify what is God's New Covenant aka the agreement of peace which He promised to Israel and to bless the nations of the world with. That said, the only access Jesus Christ gave His followers to His blood is in the drinking of it - Matthew 26 vs 26 - 30 - this as a sign that each is a become a member of the agreement that He represents. Jesus Christ never gave any man authority to use His blood to cover or bath self or things with, and so those who claim they use the blood to cover themselves and their families and property with do so in sin against Jesus Christ, the one whose is the New Covenant and Gospel Law in the Kingdom of God. .
