Hi guys,

My Hard disc just crash and i bought a used one, 500GB. Apache was working well on the crashed hard drive. I installed windowsXP SP2 OEM on the new hard disk. I downloaded WAMP  x64 from the internet. After installation it gives me this error C:\wamp\bin\mysqld.exe is not a valid win32 application. When I press ok i also get another error C:\wamp\bin\apache\apache2.2.17\bin\mysql.exe is not a vaid win32 application. When i finish the installation and try to run the programme, i will also get the following error Aestan Tray Menu has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. The server will not start. Pse am stranded. How do i move ahead from here.  I need your help.

You downloaded the incompatible wamp. Here's the download link for your system spec. http://www.wampserver.com/en/dl32.php

Yes, it is possible that You downloaded the incompatible wamp. Try what "bouzymill2" gave you or simply try XAMPP!

I tried installing the x32 but the installation does not complete. It hangs when it is about to finish. I also discovered that when i tried to build a site with Dreamweaver it is not successful too.

Try XAMPP!

You can also try Easyphp or Ampps they are as good as XAMPP

Hi guys,

I jst did it. X32 worked but i changed my os to Vista ultimate which came with d system. Hope i can write programmes well on vista. Keep it up guys.
