Why Is China No Longer Invading Taiwan? by Premiumwriter: 6:30pm On Nov 17, 2022
A few months ago, china was getting ready to invade Taiwan. They made all manner of threats and were barking all over the place with their military drills and preparations.

Seems china took a page from the Russian play book and since the little bone Russia is chewing seems to be choking Putin, Xi jinping is staying off for his peace sake

Chairman Xi Jinping has won his election, and the US midterm elections are over. Do the math.

1.Invading Taiwan risks pissing off the USA...and China makes a lot of money from exporting industrial goods and finished products to the USA...plus a lot of US companies are in China. An invasion means loss of investment...which means China's economy takes a hit.

2.Taiwan is not that easy to invade...it has a rocky coastline, and a very well equipped and technologically advanced army. Chances are that an invasion could get bogged down with loss of life. And once again...the US backs them.

3.Russia no be china. Russia's invasion of Ukraine has a lot to do with ensuring that it has a buffer against any future European invasion. Russia has a loooong land border...and one of the ways it protects itself is by ensuring that all its neighbours are friendly and cool...even if it means placing Russia friendly governments, or invading them, and incorporating them into Russia by force. China? Any invasion of China won't end well. China is not a weak country...and its terrain in places is tough..to say nothing of millions of potential resistants that would make an occupation very tough.

China had previously played her pawn pieces. They still watching the chessboard and opponent counter moves. Perhaps China might make another pawn move follow by a major move under favorable circumstances or resign from the game when overwhelmed

It would be a foolish move. Well I believe the move was politically motivated in the first place and since elections are over wink
.
Taiwan has a good military way ahead of Ukraine's and I am certain they(Chinese) are learning from Russia.
.
Taiwan also has more western backings than Ukraine. USA and NATO might be directly involved in the war.
.
.
Also Japan, a neighbouring country and a NATO 'partner' is a super power that might be dragged into the war. And from history, Japan has always flawed China in every war.
.
.
So imagine being attacked from all sides, Taiwan, USA, Japan, NATO and regional allies.
.
.
If China has twice the military power it currently has, it would still not be enough.
.
.
I said it first.

Good points, but Japan beat china before 1940..when China was a literal divided mess and not as technologically advanced as it is now.

Japan vs china today? Japan's army while advanced is a self defence force, limited in what it can do. Japan relies a lot on the US to guarantee its security.

Super power is measured by military, economic and political prowness. US has it all. China has military strength but its economy cannot sustain a prolonged
international war. Many mouths to feed. Politically, china is not as strong as US. Russia is not even a great power. Ussr was a great power. invasion of Taiwan would crash China economy and NATO/US /UK would directly involve. Taiwan military strength is ranked higher than that of Ukraine. Taiwan is an island with its natural defenses.

China has said it severally that the day Taiwan declare herself independent will be the day she feels doom. Until Taiwan declares her indepent and China does nothing is the day I wiil see China just a mere paper tiger. Also, the west cannot funds and supports ukrain and Taiwan at the same time. The Russia ukrain war has really cost them

China can't afford to fight any war now cos they want to dominate the economy of the world and fighting war will not let them achieve that plus it will cost hell of a Money.
