South East businessmen donate N1billion to support Tinubu's Presidential bid, says Governor Uzodimma

Two thousand South eastern businessmen have contributed N1 billion to support the campaign of Asíwájú Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress.

Governor Hope Uzodimma made this known Thursday at the Town Hall meeting between Tinubu and business leaders in the region.

He said membership of the group was drawn from the five states of the region.

"I am happy to say our people are fully in support of our Presidential candidate who has come to share his vision and plan for Nigeria and South East today. To support this aspiration the sum of N1billion naira has been raised by 2000 business owners across the South East states," said Governor Uzodimma.

A spokesman for the group Emeka Mgbudem said the group believes in Nigeria and is committed to peace.

He said members contributed N500,000 each because they believe in Tinubu, after reading his Action Plan for Nigeria.

He said where an Ibo man puts his money, he puts his heart.

He however asked Tinubu to remove the numerous checkpoints on the roads in the region and also build the roads linking the state capitals in the region.

Responding, Tinubu pledged to introduce technology in the clearing of goods at the ports that will render unnecessary the checkpoints on the roads.

He also promised to run a government where all Nigerians are treated equally.

Thiefnubbu and his desperation, he went to Iboland' to campaign after calling them inconsequentials and insulting them.

I guess the reality that Northern bloc votes have fizzled away have forced him to remember he needs to scavenge for Ibo votes to palliate the shock he is getting from the north. grin

Always opening their mouths like agberoes before thinking. You burnt bridge with the East, now you go cap in hand to beg them for votes after getting a middle finger in North. grin

Who no like better thing?

Everyone wants to associate with success.

By January next year, only Datti and his immediate family member will remain in LP because of his huge investment not even Obi will be a committed member any more.

Asiwaju is the next President Insha Allah.

Lol. This is loud ooo. This is how people that know politics invest into elections and they benefit massively while policies are being made during governance to favour their businesses while common men are just making empty noises online.

Chai! This One has played Game with Imo State's Government money just like that. Tinubu hate Igbos more than any Tribe in Nigeria and the Igbos know. Igbos are not Daft to pay Shaking grandfather money for President.

How people want Tinubu to take over from Buhari after these years of Calamity slaps my imagination. Buhari never showed any sign of Mental incapacitation pre-2015 unlike this Packaged failure that wants to turn Aso Rock to National Rehabilitation Center. Good forbid BAT thing.

Every well to do Igbo men and women are not associating with that fraud called Obi, Only lowlifes does.

This is an uppercut to those miscreants.
They're hungry and angry as Obi himself described them, they're channelling that anger on anyone against them grin
No wonder Obi supporters are aggressive, bullying everyone against their way to meal (Obi). grin
