FIDITI: THE LAND OF A GREAT WARRIOR AND HOME OF THE DAUNTLESS.

It is undeniable that the founder of Fiditi was a great warrior called ASU. There are many groundless stories spreading around able this man of war. What precedes the founding of Fiditi and what circumstances led to its establishment? According to the authentic research I did ASU earned his living by hunting and fighting war for people who hired him.
Moreover, ASU lived a nomadic life due to his profession. However, it now come to a time for him to settle down, he migrated to a place we called Ilora today, of course, we should know that at that time no one was there but it was a thick forest. The Alaafin at that time sent a message to ASU that he cannot reside near him. No one can resist the power of Alaafin at that time because the power of death and life was in his hand since he was an authoritarian. However, Alaafin was scared since ASU had a lot of charm and reputable to be a lion in the battlefield.
Asu moved down from Ilora to a modern town known as Jobele nowaday. Alaafin sent his emissary to ASU again that he was still in proximity to his headquarters called Oyo-Ile. Old Oyo kingdom was very big at that time and its domain stretched forth to Dahomey in the present day Republic of Benin. It is very surprising that up till today the people inhabiting this country still speak Yoruba language fluently. Asu complied with Alaafin directive again and moved about four miles from Jobele and sat down with his back resting on a tree. It was unfortunate that this tree which was the symbol of history has been cut down. Moreover, ASU received another message from Alaafin that he still need to move farther but ASU refused and said that this is where I sit down with my back resting on this tree, (IBI NI MO FIDI TI SI).
Eventually, Alaafin looked for a way to eliminate ASU and held series of meeting with his chiefs. They cannot send warriors to ASU because ASU was a master in the art of war. Lastly, Alaafin and his co-conspirators called some of his servants to dig a very big deep hole inside a seating room and covered it with mat, it was impossible for anyone to know that there was a hole under the mat. The king then sent message to ASU that he wants to hold important meeting with him. ASU has a small dog that can protect him and he went to the palace with the dog to visit Alaafin. When he reached the palace; Asu utilized an incantation and his dog laid down on the mat.
Asu then sat on the mats and meanwhile Alaafin has mandated some people armed with big stones and other missiles that when Asu falls into the ditch they should rain stones and missiles onto him until life is sniffed out of him. When Alaafin saw that Asu did not fall into the ditch, the former was confused. Alaafin quickly went into situation room to dialog with some of his chiefs that were ready to celebrate the downfall of Asu.
Majority of the chiefs then counselled Alaafin to leave Asu alone if he wants to live long on his throne. Alaafin came back and told Asu that he can stay at his present domain that he and his men occupied and gave him some gifts. When Asu left the palace, the irony of the matter was that the portion of the ditch was completely filled with sand and big hole disappeared.
Conclusively, until this Alaafin die he stopped from interfering, troubling and harassing Asu.
