The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, on Thursday, said the Naira redesign introduced by the Federal Government has increased the number of governors on their watchlist.

Bawa made this known to reporters at the State House after meeting with the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).

While speaking, the EFCC boss declined to speak on the number of governors currently under the watch of the commission.

He said, “Our agency is pleased with the redesign of the naira note because the policy would help the Central Bank of Nigeria control the monies in the system and by extension, enable more money for people to borrow.

It is my belief (as a student of economics) that the redesigning of the Naira will cause the value of the dollar currently at N890 to crash to N200.

On the sting operations to the Bureau De Change operators, he affirms that the operation was successful and huge recoveries were made.

Bawa further urged Nigerians to embrace the new policy, while also encouraging citizens to take advantage of the whistle-blower policy.

Sir with all due respect, please every politician should be in your watchlist. Both sitting governors, Lawmakers, including the presidential Aspirants, expect we are not sincere with the fight against corruption

You people are yet to be serious in fighting corruption, because I don’t see the reason why a politician with no notable source of income will have two bullion van moved to his residential home in an Election Day for the past how many years and nothing is being done about it till now

And the same man wants to be a president, what would happen if he becomes a president?? He will turn his home to a bank then.

EFCC was highly respected during the regime of OBJ not until APC get hold of power

God forbid APC
