From what is on ground today,. Obi seems to be more popular in the South and in extension to the north.

Obi currently control the South East and South South regions with tremendous inroads to North Central in states like Benue, Plateau, Nassarawa, and Abuja.

Again, he's has also made inroads in Taraba, Gombe Adamawa and Kaduna.

However, Tinubu only control SW, but not with high degree in states like Osun, Lagos and Oyo.

The north has understand this and may likely adopt Atiku to ensure they remain in power

No. Tinubu should stay in the ballot and divide northern Muslim votes. That will increase the chances of obi faster. Many Yorubas especially Christians won't vote Tinubu because of his MMT and other reasons. He should stay in the ballot.

Tinubu's withdrawal can't help Peter Obi in any way. Tinubu is already massively unpopular in the SS, SE, and parts of SW & NC. These are regions where Peter Obi is popular.

However, with APC structures and bullion vans, he can snatch significant votes from NW and NE. These areas would mostly go to Atiku if Tinubu is not on the ballot. So, let him contest even though we know he isn't going anywhere.

The south is more educated than north.
Ss/se and most Yoruba Christians won't vote for an assassin, ritualisst, thieff, drug dealer,Stark illiterate and corruptt man.
Obi as has been confirmed by the elders in ss/se and sw plus middle belt is winning these hands down.

Obi is destroying Atiku's vote but nobody is destroying Tinubu's votes right ?
So everybody that voted for Buhari will vote for Tinubu right including KWANKWASO and even Atiku that voted Buhari in 2015 abi?

In FACT Tinubu Will inherit Buhari's block votes..

Smh ..

Now listen to me...

The people of SE, SS,SW and NC are too exposed to be influenced by politicians irrespective of the political parties involved . They know their left and right when it comes to voting for a right candidate during election ..

This is the more reasons why some unpopular/unknown political parties are controlling some positions at the National Assembly apart from PDP and APC, even though some of them defected to bigger parties after election. What this means is that these four regions have an independent minds of their own

But this not applicable in the NE and NW where they are heavily influenced by Tribal and religious affiliations.. Even PDP was controlling Kastina state and other NE and NW ststes till 2015... The then PDP governors couldn't deliver their states, it was a total swap of goverment..
Nat chairman of then PDP Adamu Muazu couldn't deliver his Bauchi state too..

Stop hoping and be hiding your candidate in structure because in the SE, SS, SW and MB no candidate would be saved by structure but personality during this presidential election. Then in NE and NW, tribal and religious affiliations have a lot of role to play

Many southerners are voting all parties at different levels during General election..

Some of us are voting..
PDP at house assembly level
APC at Reps level
PDP at Senate level
APGA at Governorship level
Labour Party at presidential level..

Stop waiting for 1 billion A PC governors to help you..

You're a leaner. Obi popularity is even bigger in Kano, Katsina, Yobe and Jigaway. Obi is tied with Atiku in Adamawa.

Obi can't make much in-road in the north due to tribal politics.
Re: OPINION: Should Tinubu Step Down For Obi To Increase Southern Chances by socialmediaman: 1:40pm On Nov 18, 2022
That's a possibility but considering that it will not likely happen,

Tinubu, Kwankwaso, and Atiku should stay in the race, nobody should step down for the other.

If Tinubu steps down, Atiku will take over the north because Kwankwaso doesn't have enough spread

If Kwankwaso steps down, Atiku will also cover more grounds in Kano and surrounding cities

So to ensure that none of the 4 top contestants win the needed 25% to be declared winner, everyone should stay in the race and campaign vigorously like they want to win it. This will ensure that we head to a run-off likely between Peter Obi and Atiku

A run-off is Peter Obi's best chance of winning the election, because he will only need majority votes to win

PS: In the event that Tinubu goes to a run-off with Atiku, he should better drop his muslim-muslim ticket if he ever wants southern support, I will NEVER support a muslim-muslim ticket, NEVER. When the armed herdsmen invasion of communities, ethnic clashes and non-action from government become a thing of the past, then we can revisit the conversation
