Diagnostic trouble code P0113; this code indicates that there is a problem with the IAT sensor. The IAT sensor monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine through the air intake system and sends this information to the ECM. The ECM uses this information to determine how much fuel should be added to combustion chambers during each cycle.

P0113 is an OBD-II code that occurs when the engine control module (ECM) detects a voltage from the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor that is out of range.

The P0113 trouble code is a generic diagnostic trouble code (DTC) and can indicate many problems. The most common cause of this OBD-II code is that the vehicle's engine control module (ECM) has detected a voltage from the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor that is out of range.
The IAT sensor measures air temperature in order to help determine how much fuel should be injected into your engine at any given moment. It does this by sending information to your ECM, which then uses that information along with other data points like throttle position and coolant temperature to determine how much fuel should be injected into your engine based on what it thinks you want as far as power output goes.
The ECM monitors this system by constantly checking for voltage readings from each individual component every few thousandths of a second; if there are any issues detected with any components, they'll show up as one or more trouble codes in its memory logs.
The IAT sensor monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine through the air intake system.
The IAT sensor monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine through the air intake system. The IAT sensor is connected to a feed wire and ground wire; it's powered by 5 volts of power (as opposed to 12 volts). It's an important part of your car's emissions control system, so make sure you have it installed properly in order to pass an emissions test.

The IAT is connected to a feed wire and ground wire. The IAT is powered by 5 volts of power.

The IAT sensor is located in the air intake system, which is in front of the engine. The IAT sensor monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine. This information is sent to your vehicle's computer, which adjusts fuel and spark timing based on how cold or hot it thinks your engine is running.
The IAT sensor is powered by 5 volts of power from a feed wire and ground wire that connect to it at its terminals.
