Nick Ashford, the better half of Valerie Simpson is dead, he died at the age of 70, his death was announced by the music publicist, Liz Rosenberg Nick, who was diagnosed with a throat cancer has been suffering from this for a long time, he has gone for several radiation treatments but gave up the ghost on Monday in a New York hospital.
