As Christians, we must rise above the shallowness of mortal reasoning and tap into the revealed truth of Scripture. The fact that Christ took on our fallen nature did not strip him of his status of divinity. Jesus' taking on our own fallen nature is the golden chain that binds our soul to him. It was also a divine lesson to us all, for he was tempted in all things as we are, yet he triumphed! This is an assurance that we can also overcome in the strength of God.

Or we can say Jesus didn't really die.

Lame answer! Colossians wasn't written by a disciple known by Jesus while he was alive.

Even in that verse Jesus was not the one talking but Paul or someone not even a disciple.
