"I will recharge Lake Chad. Oh my God! I give up. Is it a telephone or a battery?”

At some level under the ground you may have a layer of soil through which water cannot percolate. So, surface water, like rain water, sinking may well up from this layer. If there is a trough or a basin -like depression around, it forms a reservoir of water you may call a lake. Water stored in this reservoir or lake, is constantly depleting due to evaporation or other ecological factors. Some may be channeled away for irrigation or other purposes. In addition, aquatic animals or plants in them, also use the water.

If the lake is not to dry up, the water loss must be replenished. That is what “Recharge” is. It is an English word. Unfortunately, these OBIdients including this musician use the word mainly for replenishing the charges in their phone or car batteries and end up spreading their limitations.

It may interest that ignorant musician to know that batteries like lakes, are also reservoirs. The first is reservoir for electric charges while the other is for water. Both lose their contents and both can be “Recharged”. In the case of the lake, naturally, more water percolating into the soil is the source of recharging.

Lake Chad is a large, but shallow endorheic lake. In the 1960’s it was the fourth largest lake in Africa, but due to inadequate ecological conditions, it has been shrinking for more than half a century, endangering the lives of the local population, flora and fauna.
Today at about 1,200km2, the lake is now just about 10% of its size in 1960. It has an average depth of only 2m with the deepest being 11m. The fishing trade of the neighbors has almost died. We must not allow the lake to die. That Tinubu thought of such very remote details about Nigeria tells you how much the man has planned for the restoration of Nigeria.

   () ?
For example, groundwater can be artificially recharged by redirecting water across the land surface through canals, infiltration basins, or ponds; adding irrigation furrows or sprinkler systems; or simply injecting water directly into the subsurface through injection wells.

  '
When Tinubu talked about recharing Lake he may have been talking about the phenomenon above but it may be also in any or both of two other context.

1. Tinubu may be talking of increasing the capacity of the reservoir so that it can store more water. This is done by dredging to increase the surface area or depth.

2. Lake Chad contains fish in which being fished. In advanced agricultural clime, such a lake may at intervals, be fed with juvenile fish. It is also called recharging with fish.

I really dont wish to come down to your level, but attimes one need to fight a pig and careless if one will be seen in the same mud or not. Of a truth, academics is not igbo's stuffs, even those who managed to pass through school among them are myopic and lack understanding of simple life's concept.... Politics is a game of negotiation and not gragra or force.... I was supporting Obi before, but his dumb followers are just too toxic

In Igbo mind that is abuse?
Being poor is not a crime and being rich does not you more important or better

That is the Igbo Mindset/

Just note that Others do not reason like that

Find something else to abuse with
That one makes sense only to Igbos
The most respected people in Hausaland or Yorubaland are not the richest
Though among some people if you have money you can tell your elders to shut up
Whatever he has or does not have , do you feed him?
As long as a man is feeding himself and not begging you for food calling him poor is foolish though it is Igbo culture to talk like that

U are just being tribalistic for justifying the word "recharge"

Tinubu fooled himself and the justification is needless and as I keep saying, this election will shock all of u one by one.

I live in the north...the feelings of the people is what matters and not the tribalistic comments here.

This election is basically about ordinary people vs the ruling class.

What does it matter if he makes gaffes? Biden is referred to as a gaffe machine and so what's the effect? When Tinubu said PD.. he corrected himself and said APC. No one can come here and say Tinubu doesn't know what a PVC is, lets's get real. Again I'm sorry if the roasted corn statement is too hard for you to grasp cos logically you know it makes sense that he was saying the down payment wasn't enough for roasted corn. The statement not being constructed perfectly doesn't change the meaning you guys just want to jump on this corn gag which is fine. However, you guys have not explained Sambisa being twice the size of Israel. I think we've beaten this roasted corn thing to death by now
