People are urging FIFA to expel the US team from participating in the World Cup because of the now deleted tweet where they used the flag of Islamic Republic of Iran, but removed the national emblem of Iran. The emblem, which features four curves and a sword is a stylized representation of the word Allah. According to FIFA's rules on discrimination USA should be banned for 10 games. Edit: They removed the emblem on purpose. - USSF said that the edited photo of the flag was intended to show "support for the women in Iran fighting for basic human rights," per AP. ⚡️ Source: sputnik ⚡️
