If the government have run out of ideas or have no clue, am sure are not lacking too. I believe most Nigerians are creative and can defeat any challenge if he tries.

And before the nay-sayers start telling us otherwise, I want to state that the is Terrorism in Nigeria (may not be like those in certain countries, but its here).

So how best can terrorism be defeated completely in Nigeria? Any suggestion is welcome - do be realistic

It will take years of arduous work involving both intelligence operations and negotiations to defeat terrorism in Nigeria. I think we would see something similar to the Algerian civil war, you can call it the 2nd Nigerian civil war. It will get worse before it gets better.

By educating Northerners and saving the almajiri's on the one hand, and replacing the top echelon of the army and police on the other; it is well known that these important parts of the nations security are sponsors of boko haram.
This is a clear 4 - 10 year plan.

Anything else is rubbish.

You cant defeat terrorism only weakend them undecided And in a country like Nigeria it would be impossible to defeat terrorism. They only way is to divide this country into 2 north and south. Muslim go north, christian go South simple as that.

Identify the problem

- We have an ISLAMIC extremist problem in the NORTH.

Identify the cause

- Virulent Islamic brainwashing from Saudi Arabia and abject poverty and ignorance of 'earthquake' magnitude.

Intelligence

- Who are those bigwigs using the ignorance of these fanatics as an excuse to forment trouble

- Who are the outside sources infiltrating our borders to booster this murderous trend

Security

- Secure our Northern borders

- Increase security in volatile spots

Welfare

- Destroy poverty and illiteracy

Am sure you will agree its not in the North alone that we have violence in Nigeria. Any time plan are drawn and implemented for a certain section of the country alone then you have more problem than solution.

Beaf, as I told you before - if Buhari had won there will definitely be protest in some other quarters too (at what degree remains to be determined).

The government should more importantly provide good governance. Also out-law all organization that pick up arms against Nigeria and have the same policy towards them (including MEND).

The problem is when the government is very partial in its programmes, policies and matters affecting Nigerians.

You are not making any sense. Are you saying Buhari is connected to boko haram? Or whats your point with the above.
Is this thread all about bitterness at losing the elections? Abeg let keep it clean.

By the way, as far as Nigerians can see, the problem is 100% Northern and 100% sponsored extremist Islam.

Read what Human Right Watch says about Nigeria:

The country’s governing elite continues to squander and siphon off the nation’s tremendous oil wealth, neglecting basic health and education services for the vast majority of ordinary citizens. Widespread graft has fueled political violence, police abuses , and other human rights violations.

Deal with the issues highlighted therein and there will be no misguided goons to do something as evil as the Abuja bombing and even if there are. An alert security network will deal with them.

People should stop creating excuses for poor governance that breads corruption and insecurity. If you insist on name-calling or stereotyping, then we are not learning from history. History repeats itself if you do not learn from it!

By twisting words to drive home you one-sided points will not help either. In you first post, you made it look like "educating Northerners" was the only way to solve the problem.

And what has "bitterness" got to do with the issue at hand? Jonathan is the President, he should act like one and stop sleeping on duty - reacting only when the deed is done.
