Even the Waec he presented still have case of malpractice between the school principal and one of his half brother. We are talking out love and hate most of us have for APC and PDP but that is not the issue, a state with numerous professor and we'll educated been lead by this crap very bad. Dotun babayemi or Akin Ogunbiyi would have been better. 2 Likes |

Politics the Nigerian way is more like a comedy Doesn't the certificate have a Serial/Examination Number? Why can't the petitioners ask the court to compel the WAEC Board to produce a clearer copy from their files/archives? |

garfield1: Where will they say they got it from? It will be very very difficult to proof it. Only INEC can bring the proof. |

atiku07: As it stands, only INEC and Adeleke can proof the certificate. Whatever APC brings won't be accepted because APC is not INEC, where will they say they got the certificate from when INEC has submitted the one claimed to have been submitted by Adeleke in 2018. 1 Like |

wunmi590: Follow the basis of the argument before condemning the judiciary. It's not everything about Nigeria we should be condemning without knowing 'what up'. Of course, the lawyers know how to get (and they actually have) his real certificate, what they are trying to prove to the court is that Adeleke submitted a wrong/forged/inconsistent certificate. That is why they compelled INEC to produce what he submitted to them so they can compare with the real/original one they already have at hand. We learn everyday. 2 Likes |

garfield1: This is just a distraction from their main prayers. They are pulling another "server" stunt to distract them Adeleke from the main prayers. The main angle they are aiming at is overvoting and voting beyond the stipulated time at Ejigbo LGA. In Ejigbo, there was voting past the stipulated time. If they cancel Ejigbo votes alone and ask for a recount of the previous votes, Adeleke is gone. If they cancel votes in other disputed LGAs and order recount, Adeleke is gone. If they order a rerun today, considering how Adeleke has been doing, it's not sure he will win again. 2 Likes |

What should concern many here is that lNEC appears to be part of what seems like a cover up in favour of one of the candidates in the election. From permitting over voting to allowing voting after the closing time, and now hiding information about a candidate's certificate. Where is INEC's independence & impartiality. 1 Like |

garfield1:Following affidavit evidence from the WAEC's Deputy Registrar, Examinations and the testimony of the Principal, the Appeal Court cleared both the Certificate & Testimonial in 2019. Jauro and Agim (who took the lead judgement) were on that panel. “Be that as it is, such errors are of no moment because Exhibit PL6 and the West African Examination Council (WAEC) confirming affidavit and Ledger show that he satisfied the requirements of Section 177(d) of the 1999 Constitution and is therefore qualified to contest the election of Governor of Osun State. As held by the Supreme Court in AGI v. PDP (2017) 17 NWLR (Pt. 1585) 386 at 454 – 455 “Even in situations where a Governorship candidate makes inconsistent statements in Form CF001 and such candidate is nonetheless qualified to contest the election under the provision of Section 177 of the 1999 Constitution, he would not be disqualified to contest the election.” The appellant gave the statement of result PL6 to the 4th respondent to show he sat for the West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE) in May/June, 1981 in Ede Muslim High School Ede. There was no need for the argument that he can only be issued certificate if he passed certain subjects. He submitted the statement of result to show that he attended secondary school and wrote the secondary school certificate examination.” (Agim JCA, as he then was) |
