Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

They they ignored the word of preachers and continue their usual life activities.
1.Marrying
2.Eating and drinking
3 . Commercial activities

There was a total disregard for God and his warning.

They continued their life activities without repentance.

Jesus the Son of God literally came to this earth many people do not even deem it worthy to know why the Son of God came neither would they give his message and that of his apostles a listening, they claim they are wiser evolved better, more educated and stronger, and so do not need any archaic book or preachers who they call all manner of unprintable names.

In Noah's and lot's days destruction came unexpectedly so also in the days of the Son of man.

The Lord calls for repentance and for all to believe in the Lord Jesus for our salvation so that we could get forgiveness of sin deliverance on that day.

Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Noah was building an Ark made of wood while others were building house with bricks, he proved to be different and peaceful, he was gathering animals according to the message he preached that God wants to destroy all lives on dry ground, different kinds of wild beasts and birds joined him in the Ark with domestic animals.

Lot lived in Sodom a city close to Gomorrah both known for all kinds of sexual perverts, the girls are no longer satisfied with human organs they prefer bestiality, and the men are no longer interested in female humans rather they want men like themselves so instead of raping girls they want to rape their fellow men to find satisfaction. In this environment lives Lot with his wife and two VIRGIN daughters.
Of course the inhabitants have been preached to through Lot's way of life but then God sent angels to go and inspect the city if it's that bad {Genesis 18:20-21} one of those angels is the one representing God followed them to the city but became invisible as they got there {Genesis 19:1} perhaps to see how the inhabitants will treat visitors! Hebrews 13:2

To cut the long story short Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed and only Lot with his daughters were saved. WHY?
