Are the crowds we see at political campaigns rallies paid?

Can anyone who was in a paid crowd by the major political campaigns tell us their experiences this time around.

In the past ,the crowds we see at political campaigns rallies in Nigeria used to be paid around N1000 each and given food and drinks.

They are brought to the arena for campaigns in buses hired by the politicians.

I have personal been a receiver of such.
