Dr. Uche Ogah's party, the All Progressives Congress, filed a criminal complaint against former Secretary of State for Mines and Steel Development,Ogah and an Umuahia-based Magistrate Court found him guilty of forgery.On May 26, 2022, the party held its governorship primary election. The Abia State chapter of the APC sued Ogah, alleging that he did not participate in the election but instead forged the party's direct primary election result sheet so that it could be used as a legitimate document.
