It's no secret that Solitaire is one of the most popular card games in the world. But, did you know there are different variations? In fact, it has some of the most variations in the world.

Even better, there are variations where you can compete against other players and have the potential to earn real money, not in-game currency. Although these variations aren't "original," they're arguably more fun as the stakes are higher! You do have to be 18 years or older to play, though.

This article will explore what the original game is, how to play Solitaire, and then delve into a variation of it where players can earn money while playing a skill-based version of the game.

What is Solitaire?

Solitaire is a card game that you primarily play solo. There are different variations of Solitaire, but the original is where you have to move all the cards to the four foundation piles. However, there are multiplayer variations which we'll touch on later.

Solitaire was first invented around the 18th century. Not every game works out in the end. That's why fortune tellers used to play Solitaire with clients to determine whether or not their luck was bad.

To play, you first need to shuffle the deck of cards. And if you don't have a deck of cards, it's time to download a mobile app. Before you do that, make sure you finish reading this article to choose the best one.

How do you play Solitaire?

The game usually has seven columns with the first column having one card, the second column having two cards, and so on. The rest of the cards are placed face-down in a stack at the bottom of the screen.

The objective is to move all the cards from the playing area to the foundation piles. The foundation piles are located at the top of the screen and there are four of them. In order to win, you must move all 52 cards to these foundation piles.

To do this, you can only move one card at a time and you can only place it on top of another card that is either one higher or one lower in value. For example, if you have a 9, you can place either an 8 or a 10 on top of it.

If there are no more moves that can be made, you can click on the face-down stack to flip over a new card. Different variations have different rules on how many card slots the player receives.

As we said before, not every game will have a successful outcome. In order to increase your chances of winning, there are some tips and tricks you can follow.

First, try to empty out the entire first column as soon as possible. This will give you more space to work with and make it easier to move the cards around.

Secondly, try to place the cards in the foundation piles in order of value. For example, if you have a 9 and an 8, place the 9 on the foundation pile first and then the 8. You want to play the game with the long term in mind, like chess.

Last but not least, don't get discouraged if you can't seem to win a game. Solitaire is a game of luck as well as skill, so sometimes, no matter how good you are, you just won't win. The important thing is to keep trying and have fun!

Next, let's dive into the ways you can make money with Solitaire...

How can you earn cash playing Solitaire?

In short, the only way to make money playing Solitaire is by betting with your friends and family for odds matches or by downloading Solitaire Clash. The app was designed as a way for people to play and earn all at the same time.

Unlike other variations, Solitaire Clash puts you up against other people competing for a prize pool based on the entry fee. The amount of players in a given game depends on the money supply. For larger prize pools, the pool of players can range from ten to hundreds. For lower stakes, the number of players ranges from five to ten.

So, how do you get paid? The nice component of Solitaire Clash is that they payout via PayPal, Visa, Venmo, or ApplePay meaning everything is secure, fast, and reliable. They have thousands of excellent reviews, so you know the game is legit.

Solitaire Clash works differently than other variations. Ranking on the leaderboard is determined by how many points you obtain, not by how quickly you complete the game. To win a game of Solitaire Clash, you will want to try and score as many points as possible. The better you do, the more money you make, as prize pools are distributed to high-ranking players. Since players only get five minutes to play, you've got to maximize the time you use. That's because you can earn bonus points for the time remaining on your clock when you run out of moves.

Here are some tips and tricks to increase how many points you earn in a session. First, try to be as quick as possible.

Second, try to get the aces out as fast as possible. They'll earn you the most points and get you started with a new stack. Then, you can move on to your tableau rows and see what fits.

Third, use your three free refreshes wisely. As you earn points, you can earn more; however, if you run out with a lot of time left, you will be missing out on a leaderboard spot.

The Bottom Line

Now that you know how to play Solitaire and how to make money playing it, there's only one thing left to do: put your skills to the test! Download Solitaire Clash and start earning cash today. It's a great way to have some fun and make some extra spending money. And who knows, maybe you'll become a master at the game. Only practice will make you better. Good luck!
