Cos, my thinking would be, if a full-glass of champagne is 2naira, then half-glass should be 1naira. 1/2(half) of 2= 1

Now, if myself and a friend happen to be at the bar, and this friend buys a full-glass for himself and a full-glass for me. full-glass-2naira(friend) + full-glass-2naira(me) = The sum total will be 4naira.

On the other hand, if I were to be the only person at the bar,I could easily tell the bartender to give me two half-glasses of champagne. 2glasses×1naira(half content)each= 2naira. So, the bartender gets 2naira from me.

Correct answer is 35

However, there is an option you did not consider i.e.:

3+{(1)(1)}×5 being equivalent to 3+11×5 (which means each half-full glass is 1, and the two 1s side by side is actually 11)

With BODMAS, that will be 11 x 5 plus 3 = 58
