[img][/img][color=#000099][/color]]The Nigerian government has officially introduced Omeife, Africa's first humanoid, to promote artificial intelligence (AI) and technology in Nigeria and Africa.

Omeife is the first African humanoid with near-human appearance, language abilities, movement, navigation and behavioral intelligence using artificial intelligence and computer vision.



When Vice President Yemi Osinbaho assumed office in Omeife in Abuja, he noted that taming artificial intelligence would help meet the needs of citizens. Osinbajo, Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Economy, NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, Professor Isa Ali Pantami replacing NITDA Director; "We live in an exciting era of technological advancement, where yesterday's science fiction is becoming a reality in today's products and services."

The Vice President also said the federal government has a duty to ensure the success of the project and urged other stakeholders to participate in the success of the Omeife project and develop new projects.
