1. I don’t mind (but don’t particularly like, either) scrambled eggs/omelettes but absolutely hate boiled eggs (never actually eaten any but the smell tells me what I need to know). Yoruba people tend to be somewhat more fond than Igbos of adding boiled eggs directly to stews and moi-moi (although a lot of Igbos do that in moderation, as-well) and it just puts me off, no matter how dope the food otherwise is. I do wish people would reduce this habit/realise that not everyone likes boiled eggs (I certainly don’t). 2. Cucumber and pickles/gherkin/tartar(e)-sauce (the latter being the main reason I don’t particularly like Big Macs anymore; I only wilfully ate them when I was young and pickle-naive) 3. Lettuce 4. Mayonnaise (it’s quite nice with chips but generally I’d rather not) 5. ‘Wiener-dogs,’ if you know what I mean (hot dogs for me have to be made with proper meaty sausage, not tinned wieners, sorry) 6. Mustard 7. Marmite (like anyone who’s normal) 8. Sushi (it’s a fine food-concept but I don’t particularly rate it on a personal-tastebud level; not even Wagamama can make me like them and I adore just-about everything else from that restaurant) 9. Sliced ham (yeah, nah; good-ol. bacon will more than do) 10. Tinned tuna (actual tuna-fish is delicious but the canned stuff is just nasty) 11. Dill 12. Oat-fufu (yeah, no; just no) 13. Avocado (sorry boujee-broke millennials but no). I might try some Costco avocado oil when I can but the fruit itself is something I can live without. 14. Eggplant/eggplant-fufu 15. Brown bread 2 Likes |
