A bomb may be defind as a hollow metal container fill with explosive or other chemicalsof a stated type or effect.The effect of bomb is usually very   devastating.Bomb can be planted on target in which case it is carefully and secretly dropped in a targeted area.It can be dropped through aerial operations.It can also be tied round the waist,this is called suicide vast and detonated when required.The person that wears the vast id refered to as suicide bomber.
Any body can carry bomb.There has been reported cases of even women carrying bomb.Therefore,no body should be underated on the issue of bommb.Thousands of lives had been kiiled through bombing globally.
Notable bomb attack in recent times are:the bomb hit on Syria nuclear reactor by Israel;the Israel bomb attack in Gaza;the female suicide bomber hit in Northern Iraq city of Baguda.This very bomb attack occurred in front of a police unit standing near the entrance of a Local government and court complex,killing many and injured 39 people.The woman walked over to a group of policemen as they ate lunch in an outdoor restaurant located in a crowded area.Another case of suicide bombing struck funeral in Northern Iraq,killing 49 mouners where Alquaeda militants have regrouped.
At home here in Nigeria,we have seen the letter bomb hit on Dele Giwa and of late are the various bomb attacks by the Boko Haram organization.
Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for various bomb hits in Nigeria,among their attacks are:the attack on the headquarters of the Nigerian Police,Abuja,the suicide bombing on the UN office in Abuja where over 18 people lost their lives and many people injured.
Since the Boko Haram Network has constituted a terrorist network with series of bombings and propose further attacks on Nigeria,we should all be very vigilant and armed with information security.Everybody should be a security of his or her self.They may apply other deadly strategy to fufill their objective.We therefore have to learn some simple security tactics to protect our lives,family and treasures. 
There should be a good house keeping by every body in a public offices because bombers hit only publid places where there are many people.Please not that security is the responsibility of everbody.Lockers should be used to sstore personal properties and should be kept locked.rubbish and waste should not be allowed to accumulate.If these are properly taken care of,it will be possible at a glance to spot strange parcel or object in a premises.Report any unfamiliar item like parcel,package , briefcase and so on.Evacuate routes should be decided upon,and as a routine kept clear always.A control room should be established with communication to every section  and to the outside for contact with the police,fire brigade and hospital.
In the event of call that there is a bomb on the premises,particular attention must be paid to exit area,both inside and outside as this is one of the easiest point to plant a bomb.The effects of bomb exploding on the route where people are been evacuated could be devastating.The plan should therefore include alternative evacuation route.Evacuation should be done discretely and quietly without panic,panic or fear kills faster than death itself.under no circumstance should anybody handle,touch or move any bomb suspected obj ect.Identify the danger area and consider it as danger zone.Alert security department and call the police.
Do not re-enter the building until advised by police bomb squad expert.
