As an APC member 50kg bag of rice is supplied to me directly at my compound for N5k. My neighbours and landlord have been begging me to recommend them for membership because they usually go to harvest theirs themselves under hot sun for hours at a premium.

In 2014, bag of rice was below N10,000. As we reached December, the price rose to almost N10,000 which is normal for the price of rice to increase during December in Nigeria.

APC used this to campaign against Jonathan. How can a bag of rice be N10,000. Nigerians did not understand. APC felt the price was too low. 8 years later, a bag is over N40,000.

APC supporters still don't want to have sense. In 4 years, if you vote Tinubu, you will be buying a bag rice for N120,000.

Wrong analysis.

Maybe you are paid for this but let me say it the way it is.

I travelled to visit my Aunty last week in Abuja and i followed her to the market and we bought a bag of foreign rice at #46,000 and my aunty paid cash. Even local rice were above the prices you stated above.

Are the prices based on foreign or local? Because here in Port Harcourt, a bag of local rice goes for 40k, foreign 48-50k.

Bought it 50kg #30500 yesterday.

I'm close to the border so it's cheap.
Border closure is just a way to promote snuggling, 70 percent of rice in Nigeria today is still smuggled foreign rice.
