Nigeria and Mexico have signed a $3 billion Hibiscus flower export deal that will generate $3 billion every year for Nigeria from the export of hibiscus flowers.

Nigeria will start exporting Hibiscus flower to Mexico in January 2023.

Hibiscus flower is used in making a popular fruit punch drink in Nigeria popularly called Zobo across Nigeria.

Zobo is a Hausa word commonly used in describing fruit punch drink.

Nigeria makes $600 million annually from the export of this flower.

This new deal pushes Nigeria's total export revenue from $600 million to $3.6 billion.

This a huge deal for Nigeria and Mexico and on behalf of Solution Reporters, we say a hearty congratulations to both countries.

Agriculture is the way!

And one commend the administration of His Excellence, President Mohammadu Buhari (GCFR) for his immense support and contribution to that sector!

Even though it’s glaring that more neeeds to be done, and more is achievable, it still shouldn’t deprive the president of kudos, when he gets it right!
