May 31, 2022, recorded the death of a Port Harcourt socialite known as Christabel who died from complications four days after she had liposuction. Although friends blame the surgeon in charge for failing in his duty of care. The medical facility where she was operated on told the media that Christabel died from a rare acute blood transfusion reaction.

I started this article with a piece of news about Christabel's death because a lot of people who are not in the limelight have died from one of such processes all in the quest for body enhancements and not based on health issues. Without proper information, many ended up worse than they were, and others have been exploited by half-baked medical professionals just for the cash. Take the case of Dr. Anu for instance who allegedly claims to be a plastic surgery expert but ended up using her patients as lab rats for trial and error methods.
