I've noticed this as well from conversing personally with them, they love America , "the land of the free", and all those stuffs, that emotional attachment has beclouded their grey matter they always seem to find excuse for US' shortcomings, or they deny it entirely. There's this guy I was talking with how the US helped fund and arm Osama Bin Laden's mujahideen during the soviet-Afghan war and how they channeled weapons through Pakistan's secret service to these "freedom fighters" who eventually became Al Qaeda and the Taliban, you should have seen how this guy was twisting and turning it even with clear articles (even from MSM) I sent to him. He shifted everything on Pakistan's head, like seriously, the US was sending weapons through the Pakistanis, but somehow they weren't involved in the whole scheme? Some guys will even threaten you with the American visa, "Russia or American visa which one will you chose"? "You just hate America for no reason"..
As humans, when you love, believe or get attached to something or someone you always tend to believe the best and overlook or find excuses for the worst in that thing. Religion is a perfect example of that, someone mentioned in a comment up there that God commanded the Israelites to kill everything (which basically means GENOCIDE) on the land he wanted to give them.
