Member of the Bundestag from the SPD party Aydan Ozoguz commented on the situation with Iran’s attack on Israel on her account on X (formerly Twitter).

“Why was it necessary to provoke this situation? The bombing of the Iranian embassy further endangered the Middle East,” wrote the Vice-President of the Bundestag.

This was followed by an immediate reaction. CDU MP Matthias Hauer called Ozoguz's publication a disgrace.
