The Chairman of NBCF after consultation with the management staffs to ascertain their pressing needs took his team to donate visual impaired, orientation and mobility; assistive technology; braille products, Voice Recorder, talking calculator among others.

The NBCF team was led round the facility and various classes to witness firsthand plight of the students with special needs, amongst them are blind, deaf and dumb etc.

Moved by the traumatizing sight of the helpless special-Need students, the philanthropist pledged to purchase and donate various education and assistive materials too numerous to mention.

Director of the school while speaking to our correspondent stated that the gestures was one of a kind. It indicates that we have passionate, selfless and kindhearted people and leaders in Nigeria. It is a good indication that there is still hope for Nigeria.

In her words “When they came here to see me, I was skeptical and after taking them round the facility. Amb Nwadavid saw two blind students in need of Braille . Their plight got his attention and was almost moved to tears. That’s when he promised to return with the items that are necessity to the children. I was glad to see them return with this numerous items. This are basically things the children need for their education and development. People come here with food and others items but the most important things are this items you see here today”

“It is costly and we can’t afford them on our own, the parents are poor too. Government provide the once they can and we are left with little or none to carter for the children. So Amb Nwadivid has really done so much, with this the children are going to be happy”

On his part Amb Nwadavid stated that the items overtly scarce or not sold in the southeast. He was able to source them from Kaduna State. He expressed happiness and satisfaction and pledged to visit the center more often.

He made purchases of various items from the blind vocation center. He equally donated huge sum for purchase of other valuable items and materials which they school lack.

The students took turn to pray and ask God to bless and protect the APC state assembly candidate. They expressed joy with the quality items he shared. Excitedly they discarded walking aid cut from trees trunks and replaced them with the custom made brand new ones donated by Amb Nwadavid.
