Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, disclosed that the immediate past governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola, borrowed N18 billion after falling short in the July 16th 2022 election for governor of Osun.

This comes as he also disclosed that, as of November 30, 2022, the state owes a total of N407.32 billion in debt.

For wat. Because he took loan. Which law made it illegal to take loans?

If this is true as alleged, has the N18bn already credited to Osun state's account and all at once? and if so, has he spent all of it before leaving office? Can the account where the money deposited into be frozen and the balance transferred back to the creditor? I am sure the debits from the account are traceable unless the loan proceed was put into Oyetola's private account. What creditor will do that?
