So a colleague was recently sacked because she did two jobs at the same time, funny enough this person was meeting up with her numbers since is a sales job.so someone snitched on her and she was immediately sacked.

So let me ask is there any labour law in Nigeria that states that you can't work in two companies if your job is flexible.Like in sane climes people do 2 or more jobs same time, why do Nigerians employers frown at it,you work long hours with low pay in a very harsh economy.

This work is even supposed to be fully remote because I don't see what one is doing inside office but you know how Nigerian ogas like being unnecessarily hard on employees.

I really felt for this lady because she lost both her December salary and entitlements,no severance nothing nothing because she was found working in another place, they even investigated her to the extent of also snitching her on the second job which she may likely loose again.

Abroad they call it moonlighting, why is not allowed in Nigeria, why can't labour laws make salary to be paid according to hours like other countries do

WHY IS NIGERIA SUCH A DIFFICULT PLACE TO LIVE,Things are so hard and yet people are so underpaid.

calm down.

maybe it was stated in the contract she signed.
many companies are against it, and they state it clearly in their contracts and offer letters.

this is why it is very important to carefully study, and understand what is included in an offer letters, and contracts before signing.
if possible, get a lawyer to go through them on your behalf, and explain them to you explicitly.

unemployment, and the joy of a new job blinds people from very important things involved in accepting a job offer.

she's lucky that she was only sacked, and deprived off her benefits.

Yes.

As a full time employee, double dipping is prohibited.
