An economist columnist for The Punch newspapers stated that he doubts a stimulation was carried out by the CBN, that if it had, it would have had a glimpse of what would happen.

The Naira's biggest problem is Buharis perpetual meddling in setting the exchange rate of currency. It has never reflected market realities. If you think it does, go exchange your dollar at the official rate!

The Naira can never better $1-N650 with the present fundamentals on ground.

The exchange rate of Nigeria's currency is not determined by the president as you say but it's a dependant of a certain factor which is the strength of the Naira.
There are bottlenecks that hinder the countrie's currency from appreciating rapidly and competing with other currencies of the world. These factors Wicken The Naira.such factors include high level of corruption in the country and the case of import bigger than export.
To confirm my case, let's go back to the 70s were we had less than 10% corruption rate and export higher than import, at that time our economy was one of the most stable in the world. If we can first fight corruption with what the CBN is doing then later tackle import/export issue, then Nigeria will get better.to start, we have to get the trillions of Naira stock in pipes, thanks, toilets, kitchen, roofs, saves,gutters, underground,shrines, and anywhere these politicians and corrupt persons are hiding our money and get it back to the bank then back into circulation.

N250 million naira as of 2009 was not chicken change. That was close to a million dollars back then if not more. All Nigerians politicians are fantastically corrupt- know this and know peace. The only difference is their level of thievery varies.

U are right it was a big money then,still doesn't show corruption.He is governor,he can determine which way to pay for some items in his state.Why do u tink there is no prosecution.The money wasn't found in his account...so that one no be issue.
