The Ag. Director General of NYSC, Mrs Christy Uba, has declared the 2022 Batch C Stream II Orientation Course Closed. She urged the 1070 Corps Members registered for the service year in Osun State to sustain the spirit of resilience, patriotism and hard work exhibited during the course of the orientation.

Uba, who was represented by the Osun State Coordinator, Mrs Olayinka Abdulwahab made said this at the official closing ceremony of the three weeks Orientation Course for the Batch at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, on Tuesday.

She thanked God for the success of the programme and praised the Corps Members for their conduct throughout the Orientation, urging them to sustain the lessons and values which they learned during the course such as patriotism, resilience hard work and selflessness as they move to the next stage of the service year.

She reminded them of the oath of allegiance which they swore during the swearing-in ceremony in light of their posting. She told them to accept their posting in good faith and be dedicated in carrying out their duties at their various places of primary assignment.

Uba further enjoined the Corps Members to let the NYSC Acts and Bye-laws guide their behaviour at all times and to be good ambassadors of the Scheme, their institutions of graduation and their families.

She advised the Corps Members to be security conscious at all times and refrain from visiting isolated places, staying out at night and making unauthorized travels especially at night.

She stressed the value of being respectful of the cultures of those in the communities of assignment and urged the Corps Members to avoid engaging in partisan politics and to also refrain from using the social media to spread fake news or hate speech but rather use the internet for self development.

The Corps Members displayed the results of their training during the orientation with a vibrant and energetic march past to the awẹ of all present.
