*THE UNSCRUPULOUS RAIL LINE MIRAGE OF THE LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT*

The Rail line project as evidence in the Townhall meeting held in 2009/2010 by the administration of Babatunde Raji Fashola, the then Executive Governor of Lagos State who did not allow his string fully tight to the apron of the ring Leader. Let me remind Lagosians and those who wish to know that the Light Rail project was broken down into four phase, yes! 4 phases; which where the Blue, Red, Yellow and Green Rail line.

The Blue Rail line which was unveiled yesterday after about 12 years of stupidity was perhaps the shortest of the four phase being a 27km stretch from Marina enroute Okokomiako. Only 14km of the stretch representing about 50% of the project shall commence work in the first week of the second quarter of Next year.

The Red line will journey from Marina, Mile 2-end inward Okoko and stretching all through Badagry corridor of Lagos.
The Yellow Rail is to take its toll from the Ajah annexe linking Marina axis, while the Green Rail is to climax from Agbado enroute Marina.

All this where the project summary which had the backing of the Federal Government, World Bank, ECOWAS, IDB and notable organisation. Under the PDP government, two banks were to back the project through interventions from the then lead Federal Government of Nigeria under the PDP.

Going further, part of of the master plan on Transportation as there "LOG BOOK" implies (A rebutted Lagos Master plan not on paper but in the dark Horizon of a man that tied every invention of his successor as his dream) is the waterway project and unleashing additional 14 Routes to the Bus Rapid Transit scheme which are yet to materialise in the Land of Aquatic splendour.

After 12 years of merrying with tax payers funds, donations and grants from the international community, a puppeted sole Administrator dance merrily to celebrate a failed and untimely project to the suffering of Lagosians. I weep as the number of leaves that has being calmed through road accidents, poor management of our waterways ought not to be if the government had invested in this projects as at when due.

Our Domestic and Foreign debt are the shrinking effect on the common man in the street of Lagos. Lagosians has to pay through there marrow to be an inhabitants of a city of plenty for all.

I ask again, what has being the "CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES" (CSR) of Alphabeta in the last 20 years after ranking an average 5billion monthly tax remittance levy from our State coffin.

Lagosians should seat back and think inward and look onward the future, as "Lagos" is calling on all and sundry to save her from a stiff neck Government and bring back the Glory of Lagos for all to benefit which has being the normality of Lagos year pass.
