It’s the right thing to do. There’s a difference between extorting from criminals and extorting from innocent people.
By extorting from an innocent person u are pushing him into becoming a criminal.
Extorting from a criminal means u are taking the money he gives over any crime he committed, to u, u do not care over the crime u commited as far as he can pay, that’s where in the area I come from we have rich criminals who are confident that they can kill u and nothing will happen.

Since these guys have been sacked I hope the criminals visit them.

The Imo State Police Command has dismissed seven officers for extortion, IGBERETV reports.

Spokesperson of the command, CSP Michael Abattam, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, December 22, 2022, said the culprits have been charged to court.

According to the PPRO, the dismissed policemen were arrested last month in a bank in Umuahia, Abia State, for conspiracy to extort money from an innocent victim.

The statement read;

I think it is high time we deal with the bad hen laying the bad eggs, the rank and file cannot be corrupt if the senior officers are not.The corruption in the system if really we want to put an end to it most start from the top.

According to the PPRO, the dismissed policemen were arrested last month in a bank in Umuahia, Abia State, for conspiracy to extort money from an innocent victim.

The statement read; When Peter Obi emerges next year, the Nigeria Police will be properly restructured and more of the above incident will take place.

They should be placed under surveillance. Dismissed policeman or soldier is a big threat to the society. They will vent their anger on the larger society

All of them are Igbo police extorting their fellow Igbo people in Igbo land. If you come across these type of Igbos on a checkpoint, you swear why they are so disingenuous in the manner they use to extort their fellow Igbo people.

Nwagoro Isdore, F/No. 528165 PC Nwadike Stephen and F/No. 528156 PC Ihemtuge Plastidus for the offence of Discreditable Conduct, Corrupt Practices and Leaving Beat.

When will Kwara State Police Command dismiss and charge to court the erring officers? Illegal duty and extortion from the people they are meant to protect are recurring phenomenal in the force.
