The spokespersons of Tinubu-Shettima and Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Councils on Wednesday berated the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, for asking aged candidates to retire from the race for the 2023 elections.
Obi had said at his presidential rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State that weak and ageing presidential candidates should have no business running for an important office like the presidency.
According to him, he could not imagine being represented by anyone at a rally that has something to do with his mission to render service.
He further emphasised that the task of rescuing Nigeria from total collapse requires the physical energy of a vibrant candidate who can get the job done seamlessly.
Reacting to his statement, the spokesperson of the Atiku-Okowa presidential campaign, Phrank Shaibu, said age does not represent capacity.
Speaking with The PUNCH, Shaibu said at 61, Obi shouldn’t be referring to himself as a youth either.
He added, “He should use this period to apologise to his followers and Nigerians for not ‘verifying’ the character of his campaign DG or performing any form of due diligence before appointing the same person to market his credentials as well as his anti-corruption stance.”

The spokesman for Tinubu-Shettima presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, also carpeted the former Anambra State governor, saying he is showing a sign of desperation.
Keyamo said, “He is already pandering to sentiments.
That is a statement that indicates he has completely run out of ideas. He is not the youngest. We still have presidential candidates in their 40s. I can give you the names
of some. Obi should be the one stepping down for them.
“His statement is a very unfortunate one. In fact, who told him he is one of the major party candidates? This is a man who is coming on the ballot for the first time. How does he know he is a major candidate? He is probably listening to the noise around him. I cannot wait for the 2023 election to
come on time. They will then understand what it means to run an election, not this noise all over the place.
“As I normally say, when jungle matures, they will understand.”

Lol even though it hurts but it’s the truth. Presidency duties are very demanding. Buhari ruined Nigeria within seven years due to this reason so Nigeria should avoid another calamity again in the form of such leaders. They see the glamour of leadership from the outside but not the daily demands. When they enter office and start seeing daily up to 30 urgent schedules and tasks on national burning issues.. because they can’t keep up they start delegating without monitoring critical national issues to aides and those guys arrogate to themselves demigod status and start profiting billions from the situation. That’s where the aso rock cabal starts from…and shuts out masses from government but who born you to try that under Obi that is awake 24/7?

How did this two great Grandpa know who obi is taking to because obi didn't mention any name.

Obi is trying to tell Nigeria that they want Nigeria president not Aso Rock president like buhari.

Nigeria need a president who can travel all over the country to solve problems Nigeria need a president who can talk to them Tru media not presidency say this presidency say that just like this failed government of buhari.

The criminal who will hijack the government of tinubu and Atiku is the people who is fighting obi.

Just look at people like FFK ,Dino and run away omokri.

Dino want to buy new cars FFK want to marry new wife from India omokri want to visit Nigeria for the past 8 years

My problem is not that they are old, I can manage atiku since he is some how fit but for bat, it's not even fair to encourage him due to his health.
BAT = this candidate has more on ground to show as his achievements more than any other candidate and I love his story, his resilience. From nothing to something but his health is deteriorating and he deserve a good rest not presiding over a failed nation.
ATIKU= This one na another rugged baba that has proven his ruggedness in the business world and I think he won't allow petty thieves to rubbish his govt based on his experience on the matter but his emergence is all shields of fulani domination in a nation that they are not even the original settlers.
PO= peter obi lives in his world back then, I dont know if he has changed. Man is stingy!!! But na guy man. He tried in the area of education and meticulous accounting but failed woefully in the area of infrastructural development but with the whole situation I think Nigerians deserve him now atleast to plug all loopholes, dismantling of robbery structures and probably a new Nigeria.
The good thing is that if he wins, he wont have the leverage of structure.
He is my choice!!!

Their wailing just began.

It is now clear that Obi is the next president of Nigeria

Actually Mr Shuaibu, age has a lot to do with capacity. You can be too young for a job role and you can equally be too old for anything other than retirement.

Nigeria does not need another President that is only in touch with his medical routines and out of touch with reality.
We are in a fight for our very existence as a nation, with a lot of external influences who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the continued disunity & insecurity in the country.

During the swearing in ceremony of PMB’s second term, five Niger Governors escorted their President to attend and no one asked themselves the reason for the excessive show of support.
So far, that country has benefited more from this administration than the citizens that voted him twice!

We don’t need people who will come out to tell Nigerians that they have paid off terrorists to stop killing people.
We don’t need those that will talk of removing subsidy without rebuilding our moribund refineries.

We don’t need leaders that are lions in Nigeria and timid in front of their counterparts on the global stage.

We need a Peter Obi who has no skeletons in his closet which these foreign interests can use to manipulate us as a nation!

Obi is better.

APC has failed Nigerians.

I voted APC in 2015 and 2019, so why will I continue voting for the party when is obvious they have nothing else to offer.

Obi is still in his middle age. Others are elderly. It is only stable countries with working institutions that could elect anybody as President.

Atiku is coming

December is almost coming to an end and Peter Obi hasn't step down for Atiku. Is December no more the month for his step down, or should we expect another?

I've been searching for you to remind you that December has come and almost ending. Thank God I saw you today. Looking forward for your honest response.
