(1) EXPENSES CHOKE THE BAKERY

Expenses can really eat deep into your profit If not taken care of. Form the habit of keeping track of what you are spending.
Cut down on your Expenses. Reduce staff if there is need to, substitute raw materials. Pay yourselve as the owner.
Don't mix private expenses with business. Have a separate account for your business.

(2) NOT COSTING RIGHT

Cost your bread and know the right price to sell, Raise up your price if you are not making profit. stop being a people pleaser, the primary reason for being in business is to make money. Remember you have bills to pay. Passion don't pay bills!

(3) LACK OF SUPERVISION.

It is better not to start a bread bakery business at all than starting it and not supervise.
Even if you are not physically available. Make sure you have a trusted hand to supervise your business. Very few people work their best without supervision.

Standardise your recipe, find out how many loaves of bread in a batch. So you know when someone tries to steal from you.
Don't let any someone run down the business you have invested so much on.

(4) BREAD FAULTS.

Bread fault is the biggest profit eater. It just don't eat your profit, it eat the capital too. Imagine a production error in a bag of flour. Profit gone, capital gone.
