In fact President Yar'Adua negotiated with him to end snuggling and gave him time to cross hundreds of truck load of goods from Cotonou and Niger Republic before quitting the trade

Very powerful man

He was a friend to Yar'adua and also a big financier of his governorship and presidential campaign.

The chairman Dahiru is still alive o.

Dahiru was the greatest smuggler in Nigeria, i learnt Buhari had to plead with him to leave smuggling and face a legit business he would support him.

Every thursday btw 12am and 2pm, the route from Niger Rep through Jibia would be cleared of security forces mostly cystoms so this man's fully smuggling trucks would come into Nigeria, i have seen it more than once, counted over 200 trucks on two or more occassions.



Note, he might not own the whole trucks, probably a front for govt officials who are involved also
