The youthful likewise exhort to be sober minded.
Titus 2 : 6

You know what it means to be sober minded?
It means to be sane.
To be in a right mind where you can think properly.

Drunkenness, and some drugs can make you not to think properly.
And this drugs have addictive abilities that makes you to get more and more, and rub you off of being in your right mind.
You even lose the desire to eat and take care of yourself.
This is one of the works of the devil

And this is one of the things that the Lord Jesus came to do : to free people from the bondage of alcoholism and pleasure drugs.

Jesus can free you totally from the bondages.
For it is written, when he ascended on high, he ( Christ Jesus ) led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.
Ephesians 4 : 8
