IGP ordering an investigation and condemning the killing is not justice. We all know the outcome of the investigation would be the dismissal of the police officer involved. However the major culprit is not the Policeman but the Nigeria Police that gave guns and uniforms to madmen. What have the Police been doing to reduce such killings of citizens by their offficers beyond dismissing the officers? How often do they do psychological evaluation of their officers? What safety measures have the Police put in place against accidental discharges?

Justice can only be achieved when the police officer involved is dismissed, sentenced by a Judge for the crime and the Nigerian Police made to pay compensation of over N 100 million to the victim's family due to the vicarious liability of the Police in the matter.
