Hello good morning all, please my cousin 27 years old had an inguinal hernia surgery four months ago,he is fit and healthy with no pain from the surgery, though we do go for medical check-up,why am writing this is that he has a swelling scrotal sac, when we meet the doctor he said is part of the healing process and he keeps recommending these drugs chymoral and white vitamin c ,but am worried for how long will it take for it to come normal, please have anyone come across this I need advice

Please I need your advice on this,no body pain or any pain from the surgery side is just that scrotal sac swell up.

Do the stated scans in a hospital or diagnostic centre

The swelling should ideally subside after about a month usually. The swelling is pretty normal initially.

Chymoral is fine for the swelling/inflammation. Vitamin C is fine too, we need lots of it daily.

Did he use ice pack at any point to help reduce it? Icepack for like 10 minutes every couple of hours or as instructed by doc would be ok, though usually in the days after the op.

Is there any pain in the swollen testicle, redness, numbness, nausea, etc?

If not happy with the situation, get a second opinion from another surgeon/expert.
