It is no longer news that a Nigerian Lawyer identified as Barrister Bolanle Raheem was shot and killed at a police checkpoint while she was driving with her husband on Christmas day.

The police officer that was responsible for the shooting was later identified as ASP Ayuba, who was attached to the Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah. It was also revealed that Mrs Bolanle was pregnant at the time she was shot, after she tried for many years.

In a recent tweet shared by popular Nigerian skit maker and activist, Adebowale Adebayo, who is well known as Mr Macaroni, he identified that the late Bolanle was killed by a police officer attached to the Ajiwe division and that another police officer from the same division killed someone 2 weeks ago.

According to the tweet, Mr Macaroni said:

“A Nigerian police officer from Ajiwe Division shot and killed Bolanle Raheem on Xmas day. It is from this same division an Officer killed Gafaru Buraimoh about 2 weeks ago. This barbarism by the Nigerian Police must come to an end. These murderers must pay for their crimes!!!”

Mr Macaconi also called on the Lagos State Governor and the Police Public Relations Officers to looking into the shooting.
