*2023: Fayemi, Oyebanji canvass support for Tinubu, APC candidates*
…..as ex-Governor hosts party leaders, stakeholders

Barely two months to the 2023 general elections, Ekiti citizens have been charged to vote massively for the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all the state and National Assembly candidates of the party.

The immediate past Governor of the State, Dr Kayode Fayemi and the incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji made the call during a APC leaders and stakeholders annual Christmas get-together hosted by Dr Fayemi at his Isan- Ekiti country home on Monday.

Dr Fayemi, a former Presidential Aspirant and currently Special Adviser on Foreign Affairs to the APC Presidential Candidate, said Ekiti State and indeed the country have a lot to gain if the APC retains the presidency with Asiwaju Tinubu as President.

Similarly, he said the state would witness more development if the party could win all the state and national assembly seats, stressing that this could only be made possible by massive mobilisation of support for the party’s candidates.

Dr Fayemi, who described Asiwaju as a highly resourceful political leader and strategist, said the former Lagos State Governor possesses the experience, exposure and capacity to lead the country successfully.

The immediate past Governor also thanked Ekiti people for choosing a competent person, Mr Biodun Oyebanji as their Governor, adding that the people have started seeing the benefits of electing someone with competence and character into office.

"I want to thank you again for electing BAO as your governor. He has the capacity, compassion, he is calm and he is a man of integrity. He also has what I don't particularly have- He connects easily. If you recall an interview I gave about two years ago. I said I want a Governor who will do everything that I can do, but also has that bits of connecting with our people a lot better than I managed to do. So there is no reason why Ekiti people should be in any doubt that he is going to do much better than what I have done in office".

To sustain the tempo of development, Dr Fayemi canvassed for massive votes for all the APC candidates for the state and national assembly seats, and as well ensure that the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu emerge as the next President of the country.

Fayemi said "the presidency is number one, we have a candidate whom we believe will do well for the country, if he gets elected. Am sure you all want Asiwaju as our next President. So, we have to do everything under the leadership of our Governor to win that particular election. Then we need continuity in our House of Assembly; the governor cannot work alone and our determination is to ensure that 26 of the 26 members that will work with Governor Oyebanji are from our own party".

Also speaking, Governor Oyebanji explained that the APC parades the best candidates in all the elective positions, adding that Tinubu’s election as the next president of the country is non-negotiable.

He assured the people of more dividends of democracy with Asiwaju Tinubu as the next President with APC having the majority of members of the National Assembly and APC retaining all 26 seats in the Ekiti Assembly.

Oyebanji said: "We are prepared as a party and we have the best candidates and we are just waiting for the coronation come February. We are optimistic that Nigerians will vote for us massively. We shall also mobilise massively for our candidates".

Some leaders that spoke at the annual get-together, thanked Fayemi for sustaining the hosting of the annual gathering, which was attended by political leaders from all the 177 wards in the state.

Only a fool will vote for a party that has made a country far worse than it met it. 2023 presidential election will reveal the number of fools we have in this country.

Politics is a game of interest I agree.

But at this stage it's way beyond interest.

That man is way too old to be a working President.

Sometimes it's not all about Money.
2023 will really show who's sane and who's not sane in Nigeria

Fashola, Ambode and Osibanjo are not moving around campaigning for the drug dealer and criminal. They know him more than us.

Thiefnubuu remain a Destiny criminal. He has stole these people achievement and add it as his own.

So many people who are in current Buhari cabinet are not supporting Thiefnubuu

Wow, this people called so leaders are really something. Telling the people if they come out and vote the frogeyes/APC, they will see development in the state. See how the so call leaders are fooling the people during election time again. APC has been ruling the state and APC also is in the center, so why has the state not develop over the years. If the people really listen to this users and deceivers, then I blame the ordinary Nigerians who chose not to be wise and do the needful thing for their future and children future. I shake my head for Nigerians during election for listening to this that have been said over and over for many election time!!!!!!.

Religious and Tribal sentiments aside, deep down our hearts we know Peter Obi or Kwankwaso going by their antecedents in governance is the real Deal.

Don't let Political Contractors deceive you into thinking Tinubu has anything to offer.

Deep down your religious, tribalistic and bigotry mind, you mean to say! Where are Obi's credentials that made you think he is a credible presidential candidate? Common submitting of school certificates, he submitted GCE yet a claimed he has Ph'd because he has worked with faked results all through his adult life, he want to become a president through the back door by fake statistics and lies thinking that we all are nzumbu nzumbo citizens like you. It shall not be well for anybody that at one time or the other has called Nigeria zoo.
