Soludo pledges to reinforce roadblocks, says criminals want security off road

Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has appreciated security operatives for their concerted efforts during the yuletide.

He pledged to strengthen roadblocks across the state, stressing that criminals would want security forces off the roads.

Soludo who made the commendation during a statewide broadcast, called for more checkpoints, tasking Ndị Anambra on playing their vital role of volunteering information to security operatives.

He pledged his administration's commitment to entrenching security during the yuletide and beyond.

The Governor stressed that criminals want the security forces off the road and pledged to continue to strengthen the road blocks and tske other measures to ensure safety.

He said that these are abnormal times that require extraordinary solutions, pointing out that it is not the most convenient measures but most efficient solutions.

While commending those who donated to the security trust fund to ensure that the state becomes a safer homeland, Governor Soludo applauded those who sacrificed, paid the supreme sacrifice and put their lives on the line.

He appealed to criminals in different hideouts to still embrace the olive branch as criminality does not pay in the long term, stressing that government is prepared to work with them to give them a new and better future.

He also observed that this year's Christmas in Anambra witnessed the best traffic flow, noted that it is the first Christmas that he is celebrating in office and felicitated with Ndi Anambra and wished that the year ahead will be more blessed and productive.
