Oke-Agbo is one of the five communities that formed up Ijebu Igbo namely Ojowo, Japara, Atikori, Oke-Sopen, and Oke-Agbo but all under the domain of the Orimolusi the paramount ruler of Ijebu Igbo
Oke-Agbo was founded by Beje a princess from Ijebu-Ode.
Beje was a daughter and the last child of Osimore the Onijasi a king in Ijebu-Ode, Beje has three elder brothers, Onayelu, Osimade, and Igbonla.
Onayelu was the elder brother and he always go for his hunting expenditure being a hunter in a wide forest today known as Ijebu Igbo, it was when he went for one of his expenditure that his father died before his arrival and his junior brother Osimade had seized the chance to take over the throne before he got back, in order to prevent conflict and crisis, Onayelu left Ijebu-Ode and went back to the forest where he later made his own domain.
Beje the last child will always go to Ijebu-Igbo to visit his brother Onayelu due to bond and love and his other brother Igbonla will always go with him.
It was on one of those journey to visit his brother that the situation that birthed Oke-Agbo came up.
As usuall, Beje and his brother Igbonla took to their journey to visit Onayelu their elder brother in Ijebu Igbo, and while they were going they got to the Agbarun river and discovered it was full to the brim, posing a great challenge to cross, while thinking of what to do, they met a certain man called Gbonyin, who had left Igbooye due to some traditional issues that made him fled for his life.
Beje pleaded to Gbonyin to please carry her across the river but Gbonyin refused having noticed is a princess, Beje then pleaded that Gbonyin should help his brother Igbonla and Gbonyin obliged, after Gboyin had helped Igbonla, he (Igbonla) then pleaded that Gbonyin helped his sister and he did........
